Frequency context

How OFTEN you take an action against a solid baseline — VPIP, PFR, WTSD and the rest. Context, never a verdict: a frequency has no board in it, so it cannot price a spot or tell a correct fold from an over-fold.

Typical: needs 30+ hands

Why it matters

Frequencies are worth reading — "you 3-bet 1% of the time" is a real fact about a player and the fastest way to spot a stylistic hole. They are just not a verdict. A 12% VPIP and a 40% VPIP can both be free; two players can sit identically far from the same baseline for opposite reasons. Above all, these baselines are frequency-only: on a runout where the flush came in, folding more is correct and the baseline will still call it over-folding. Treat every deviation here as a prompt to go and look at the spots, and let the EV Leak Report say what anything actually cost.
