Poker cheat sheet

The four things worth having on one page. Everything else is reps.

1. What beats what

Royal flush > straight flush > quads > full house > flush > straight > trips > two pair > pair > high card. Full house always beats a flush. Full list with examples.

2. Starting hands (shape, not a tattoo)

Early: TT+, AK. Later seats: add suited broadways and connectors. Button: widest. Small blind: raise or fold. Big blind: defend wider vs a steal. Position charts.

3. Pot odds

Need X ÷ (P + X) equity to call X into pot P. Example: $20 into $100 → 16.7%. Worked examples.

4. Rule of 2 and 4

Flop: outs × 4 ≈ hit by river. Turn: outs × 2 ≈ hit river. Flush draw = 9 outs ≈ 36% / 18%. Draw table.
